About the product
Fire Product Record helps manufacturers organise product information, configurations, performance claims and supporting evidence. It does not determine whether a product complies with applicable construction-product law or replace technical, conformity-assessment or legal judgement. Manufacturers remain responsible for the accuracy and approval of published product information.
What we never claim
We do not claim that using this product makes any product conform to any requirement, that it is approved, endorsed or recognised by any government body, regulator, standards organisation or certification body, or that it satisfies a digital product record standard. No settled UK digital construction-product record standard exists for anything to satisfy.
Our structured export uses our own documented schema. It is not an official schema and we do not present it as one.

About the regulatory information we publish
Statuses distinguish current law, stated government commitments, consultations, expected developments and speculation. Future requirements may change before implementation.
Every statement on the tracker carries exactly one status — LAW, GOVERNMENT COMMITMENT, CONSULTATION, EXPECTED or SPECULATION — a link to a primary source, the date that source was published and the date we last checked it. Where we have not yet read the source ourselves, the entry is marked as awaiting verification.
This is a summary written by people who are not your lawyers. Where a point matters to a decision you are making, read the primary source. We link to it precisely so you can.
About statuses inside the product
Where the software flags an issue — evidence expiring, a claim relying on expired evidence, a configuration referencing an unsupported component — the status it produces is "needs technical review". That identifies work for a competent person in your organisation. It is not a statement that a product is unlawful, unsafe or unsatisfactory, and it should not be quoted as one.
